2.10.10.10.10...etc...

little bit of housekeeping to clear up, cause october is supposed to be a theme month according to the book-and it will be, starting tomorrow...

Lot of albums dropped yesterday, definitely the most slept on was Chrome's second album Project Landlord. I've said in the past that if you fiend for that old school hypnotized mind's shit you probably have to fuck with dudes that left the original camp. Frayser Boy is decent, but Chrome at his best, teamed up with paul and jay, is the closest to that og Prophet Posse sound. Album is solid, maybe not better then his first, but still real nice.

CHROME - "SCARED OF NOBODY"

Yesterday also saw the release of Willie the Kid's mixtape/album/album before the album/whatever the fuck they're calling it. I don't think getting with Drama and the Aphilliates has really worked out so well for him. one of those "too northern sounding for the south" vs. "too southern sounding for the north" type of situations. All things considered though, he's probably doing just about as well as he should. It's worked out real well for La the Darkman though-riding along as the uncle slash weedcarrier, homie's career should have been over before shyheim's voice changed.

WILLIE THE KID - "SPLENDID"

JA's "On the Grind 3" has been out for a minute and i slept cause i already had those Young Buck joints (which are fire). ended up downloading though and this track from Kidd stood out, mostly cause i love that half sung hook, also cause dude's accent reminds me of living in maryland, and that reminds me of crab chips, and i haven't had a crab chip in way too long.

KIDD - "DAMN HOMIE"
